Every fiber alive

Thought I heard your voice in my dreams,
Raising goosebumps all over me.
When I felt your fingers on my face,
Every fiber sprung as you traced.

Could feel your breath on my hair,
Still, my eyes closed shut for fear.
What if its just a dream and not real?
My intense need can't be spieled.

Lifted my head to receive your touch
Heard your soft laughter over my head
Yet the fear imbibed in me
Refused to open and allow my eyes to see.

My skin followed your knuckles path
Leaving a warm trail as it passed.
I started to burn, fever mounting high
Merciless, you began to move aside.

Wished my legs didn't weigh like a ton
Stopping me from sprinting out and run.
Closing my eyes once again
Wishing that you would come and claim.
