Viji's Monologue...

Audible gasps, collective sighs...
What went wrong? your thoughts benign...
Your heart nonplussed,
Your words laced with pride, love unfeigned...

What went wrong? I quizzed my brain...
Felt the pain long forgotten,
Relived it trying to comprehend...
What made me decide what I did?

What went wrong, when I was young?
Trying to find answers for your questions,
Prying the hidden depths, scratching, unfolding,
My hands searched my heart's contents.

There it lay - my heart! safely hidden
When asked, "Why?", no answers were given,
I had the fear that things wouldn't work..
Fear, fear was my only fear...

Time or space won't work here,
Both the souls torn and worn...
Thank God you felt the love,
Though it pains, you are blessed...

Strange things happen everyday,
Your tears would slip away,
Trust me! the pain would numb,
Leaving few memories unsuccumbed...
