Solitary soul

Had a promise to keep,
Had a life to live,
Took the path easier to walk,
Keeping the promise, breaking a heart...

The path where I loved to walk,
The path that led to my past,
My thought racing ahead
I hastened to deliver my cause...

Stared by eyes cold like ice,
Lips stretched, ugly and vice,
I lowered down on my knees,
Held my promise out to see.

A straight slit and slowly it bled,
I watched without any feel,
No questions and no answers,
Thought about that forgotten track...

Dragged down the path to my life,
Loving and bowing, held me tight
The stitches though rough and crude,
Zig zag scars is life in truth.

At one, I learnt crawling was fun. At forty one, I still feel crawling is fun #blamemykneesnotme
